  • Radio auto volume control

    How do you disable the auto volume control? It gets too loud...
    local dealer techs spent an hour fiddling with it while it was in for radio label recall, they gave up !!
    I found a topic from here on 9/29/20, but it didn't give answer.

    I found 2 ways, turning the knob on the screen or you have 2 toggle switches +and - on the lower right side of the steering wheel.

    Hope this helps

      Duh... I know how to do that...
      I was asking about disabling the feature where the radio automatically increases volume.

          It is called Bose AudioPilot and you can turn it off.

          From page 157 of the 2021 owner's manual.

          . Bose AudioPilot Noise Compensation Technology: This feature adjusts the volume based on the noise in the vehicle. When turned on, AudioPilot detects ambient noise and vehicle speed to continuously adjust the audio signal so that music will sound the same at a set volume level. This feature is most effective at lower radio volume settings where background noise can affect how well the music is being heard. Touch Off or On

                    Meyerweb - Thank you, but I already read the book. And I presume factory techs tried that also. Have you actually gone out to the car and tried it?

                        Hi Meyer,
                        She has the car out grocery shopping now, so can' t specifically answer that, but we did look there. What happens on yours? did you try it?
                        Settings-->Audio is wrong location

                        BUT ... You Tube to the rescue.. from home infotainment screen Settings--> Apps-->Audio--> Bose... should be a winner, will try once the car gets home.

                            Welcome to the Forum. Hopefully, you find being here helpful and informative There was obviously a misunderstanding from someone who was just trying to help - as most of try to do. Perhaps, my friend, keeping that in mind next time would surely be appreciated...Enjoy your ride!
