  • No time and temperature on 2020 instrument display

Just found out that there’s a difference in the info tile selection between a 2020 and a 2021. There is no tile selection for time and temperature on the 2020 but there is on the 2021. It would be nice to have because on the infotainment screen the time and temperature only show up in the bottom right hand corner of the infotainment screen when you’re not using any of the Apps or other features. If you are using something then you only see the time in the upper left-hand corner and no temperature. Maybe a minor thing but I always like to know what the outside temperature is without having to hit the home button on the infotainment screen. Maybe they could do an OTA update to add that tile.

I got no prob with the time and temp display but I'm not using any Apps or other "features". Looking at the road and paying attention to my driving.

That’s interesting that it is not a “tile” choice on the 2020. I was setting up my 2021 displays today and for “My Mode” and “Tour Mode I have the time/temp tile and the tire pressure/temp tiles active. I was running Waze on CarPlay so it was the only source for temperature. I can see why you are disappointed that it is not a choice for 2020s.

I also discovered the “Audio” position on the right hand side of the tach. Nice to see song title and artist when listening to Sirrius. Only my 3rd day of ownership so I’m still figuring out what all of the options are. And once I get mine all set, we will have to get my wife’s settings entered.

My wife said that we're going to have to take the day after we get home from NCM to just figure everything out. I'm sure we'll forget 1/2 of what they tell us there since we'll be overwhelmed and amped up. Glad for here and Chevy's you tube series on the C8 to help in that regard.

I went to pick up my car at the museum thinking I had read, watched, studied and memorized everything about the C8. I figured the process of learning MY car would only be a 20-30 minute spin. WRONG!!! There is so much more to get familiar with it than I had figured. It's not hard, but it requires a familiarization process. After 7 weeks I am still finding out things I had either forgotten or just not yet used. I still haven't even played with the PDR! Having seen videos and read reports about the Spring Mountain experience I know there are many things about the car I have not yet done (PDR and driving without the nanny gadgets) that will get lots of emphasis at the RF Driving School.
Since this thread is about "Time and Temp" features...I will admit that figuring how to get them displayed was an early concern. My final realization was that the only quick way is to go to the home button on the infotainment screen and that takes care of it. However, like you Joe, I would love for it to be retrofit onto my 2020 as a tile selection. And while they're at it, how about that wireless Apple Car Play...

The word on the street is that that requires a hardware change, not happening unfortunately.
