Transparent roof - squeaky??
I’ve heard that the C7’s transparent roof might be a bit squeaky. Anyone with hands on experience on the C8? And if so, any easy solutions??

I've been driving with my transparent roof on my 2020 since last April, and not one squeak. -

My C8 regular coupe roof has had not one squeak. At the same time, someone will sometime have one and we will assist with suggestions. But the C8 roof is not have the repetitive problems that more than a few had with their C7’s.

Love my C8 transparent roof and no squeaks or any noise. While we're talking about the C8 transparent roof, I sense its not as big as my C7's was which I think is a good thing. It doesn't seem to heat the interior like the C7 did. The C8 interior runs cooler than the C7 and I think that has to do with the smaller transparent roof and also because with the mid-engine, there's no hot exhaust running the length of the car under the driver/passenger compartment.Comment

On all previous generations my car got too hot in the summer for the transparent top, on the C8 I have found that it's a year-round top. All that heat is behind you now.Originally posted by Boomer View PostComment

No squeaks but it does make a sort of groaning noise when cornering hard. Chassis flex causing slight movement against the rubber seals. It's rare though and usually you're too wrapped up in car control focus to notice, a tunnel vision (and hearing) of sorts.Originally posted by Top Off Action View PostComment

My C7 had squeaks until the alignment pins were replaced pursuant to a TSB. I've never had any problem with the C8 transparent roof.Comment
