Late 2020 as a 2021 model. Count on it.

I totally disagree with PaulChristian’s answer, though like all of us, he sure is entitled to his opinions,

Indeed and thank you. The ZR1 is the placeholder. GM will get two years worth of production out of the C7 ZR1 before c8s go to customers. ZR1, nor any other C7 will sell along the side of the C8 once it debuts. Mid Engine is not being rushed. Too much to lose if they get it wrong. What they have shown us so far is GM’s sly attempt to get some initial public feedback while completing road/track testing.

What we will see this year:

less and less camo before the car is finally introduced sometime early next year before going to customers third quarter 2020 (as 2021 model).

          PC.

I do not know when the C8 is going to arrive at its first home. The reason I do not know, is that I have no idea whether the much discussed electrical issue was already solved, or maybe it will not be solved until next month or whenever.

All I ask is what I already know is going to happen, and that is that GM takes all the time they need to get the car right the day before the first one is shipped.

One month however that I definitively would not vote for is December, for if this coming December, it can only be sold as a 2019 or a 2020, whereas delaying the first shipment until January 1, 2020 will allow it to be a 2021 model.

Please, a fantastic looking car that works superbly well, and whenever ours arrives will be a very happy day.

I am glad you went to the Gods because no one on this forum can prove me wrong. You’ll hardly know who I am or what I mean but I shall be good health to you nevertheless.

This is the second time old and new Silverado's have been sold side by side, so it is possible we could see it with Vettes. For what it's worth, I talked to the person who does all the ordering for my local dealer, and he said April 30 is the cutoff for ordering 2019 Vettes, subject to change.

Sometimes in 2020, but certainly NOT in 2019.

Regarding the concept that the ZR1 will sell nose-to-tail going down the line with the C8,

                          * The ZR1 was originally designed to be a two year model run; however, 2018 was supposed to be its first year of production

                          * GM tried this summer to build C7’s and C8’s on the same line. Let us just say that was definitely not a smooth assembly process. Whether it has since been modified to become an option is not known.

The below is my current thinking.

                          * If either the 2019 C7 model year is extended, or we see a short 2020 C7 model year (the latter is now my best guess), then in either case there will be additional ZR1’s built this calendar year. But once the BGA plant shutdown occurs (best estimate is this November & December) as it is made ready for 2021 MY production starting in early 2021 calendar year, then no more ZR1’s.
