Zerv02 was the one who earlier brought us the below interior sketch, now says his insider who has never been wrong, told him this. It is interesting that GM does not even have a press conference slot at NAIAS, and secondly my closest insiders, names you hear about periodically on mega autmedia sites and more, have still not received this information nor an invite.

That is also contradictory to what other top insiders were told several months ago.

    Hmm. So, FWIW....

I saw this. Is he also the one that said it would be 170 K? The scheduling isn’t a huge thing, as one of the time slots could just be a cover and if you read the fine print it says “scheduling is subject to change”. I find it rather unlikely

My super insiders have found not a single trace to support this rumor yet. They would be, as I indicated above, the very first to be invited to the event. Still thinking and planning mid April for the New York Auto Show myself.

Well according to all my super sources (I mean you and this forum!) NY is sounding more and more likely!

Im thinking either NY, a stand alone event, or if they want to do something different, the Indy 500. NAIAS seems to be getting more and more unlikely...

Quite a spy thriller with these "super sources". Speculation is fun.

Couldn't agree more JB ... love looking at the new renderings and enjoy the banter, but don't really care about the reveal date stuff as much anymore

Could that announcement have nothing to do with GM, just more details, a re-announcement of the 2020 NAIAS move to its new June slot or something similar? I believe so.

Zerv02 posted this on 1/3/18 which is interesting because this day was also the day 3rd quarter (and annual) sales were released. Could it be that somebody in a position of authority wanted to get things rolling?

I'm still skeptical about his interior sketch. I honestly won't believe a word that this guy says unless it happens.

That is a sentiment posted by many in many places. For those who are not aware, Zerv02 was the one who posted that the C8 started at $169,000 and for days afterwards, when he was criticized for that comment, asked nicely if he meant that that amount was for the ZORA version, he would not answer that question. Let’s just say kindly that perhaps his sources are wrong, and everyone can decide whether they wish to believe his predictions.

                              That is here: 4:45 - 4:55 PM EST - NAIAS 2020 - ATRIUM STAGE

Since all of the OEMs do releases on 1.14, the 1.15 slot could have nothing to do with the Vette, however, if it is, it would give Chevrolet all of the attention. Obviously, Zerv stated 1.14, so this 1.15 slot does not align with his 'prediction.'
