Just got my 2020 HTC!

Well, I suppose this is a heck of a first post here. After putting a deposit down on 10/10/2019 and going to status 3000 on 3/17/2020, I finally picked up my 3LT, Z51 HTC from MacMulkin last night. The car exceeds every expectation! If you're waiting, I swear it's worth it.

Here are some somewhat random thoughts after my first 50 miles:

• The car is tight and quiet. This will be an amazing GT/cruiser. No wind noise, very little tire noise, not too much engine noise. Perhaps the exhaust is too quiet.
• The ride is amazing. Very controlled, tracks very straight, steering feels just right
• 3LT is worth the money. The interior is just gorgeous. I have black with yellow stitching and it's nearly perfect. The feel and smell of the leather is great.
• The tech is very impressive. Apple CarPlay works perfectly, the screen is responsive and quite easy to use. The dash looks crisp. The rearview camera is great. The Bose is crisp and loud.
• Though I'm observing proper break in, the acceleration is strong!

Can't wait to put some miles on it today when it's 60 degrees in the Boston area.

Congratulations. The HTC will not disappoint you.
Do have NPP on? I think the HTC with NPP on has a nice exhaust note in the cabin. Mind you, my Harley has stock exhaust and I am fine with that also.

Congratulations! About how many C8s did there appear to be at MacMulkin? Were they doing other C8 deliveries at the same time as yours?

I ordered the same color as you and I got this email today:

Thank you for reaching back out to the Chevrolet Corvette Concierge! Your order XKVNTZ is currently at the status of 4000. This status means your Corvette is available to ship pending routine testing. We do not have much insight into this part of the process and we are unable to estimate when your specific Corvette will ship. Your Corvette was built on 11/18/2020! Congratulations!!


Typically, your vehicle will be delivered 2-6 weeks after it is built. We'd recommend staying tuned with your dealer at this point. Once your Corvette ships, your dealer will be notified and will be reaching out to you with your delivery details.

I also ordered at MacMulkin with a Courtesy Delivery to Estero Florida but 2 to 6 weeks seems like a long time!

Regarding timelines to delivery- Car was built on 11/10 and I took delivery on 11/19 so that's not too bad. Vinnie did the walk through with me, but I consider myself very tech savvy and already had the CarPlay and Bluetooth set up before he even got in. He is extremely knowledgeable. The entire process from paperwork to driving off was under 90 minutes and extremely straight forward. Though if you needed more time I'm certain they would stay as long as necessary.

The detailing they do at MacMulkin is incredible. No swirls, smudges, scratches or anything. The car looks perfect and I'm a real nut when it comes to that stuff.

There were probably 6 to 8 C8's in the showroom (all sold). Another guy was seeing his car for the first time outside but coming back today to take delivery.

My car being a Z51 does have NPP and there's not doubt the exhaust is nice and loud on the outside. My comment was more in reference to the sound insulation inside the cabin and the fact that the exhaust is not running under you probably makes it quieter inside the car.

I’ve been constantly told Year and half to two years so much, I was beginning to believe that was the norm at best.
