would nt you think the aerodynamic design team would have put a vent or opening on the upper portion of the rear 3/4 of the c8?

the c7 has something there, the ferrar 488 has intakes there...meanwhile the corvette c8 only has the side vent opening?

i guess its not going to be there since the photos of the vehicle we ve seen dont show any....

maybe its so the roof can be put away in the hardtop convertible?

the CAD shows something very similar to the C7... right above the wheel well.

    Maybe to HiPo version?

Note the GREEN ducting. Exactly the same as the c7. Click image for larger version

Could well be that there is an additional 3/4 intake NACA duct is on the Z06 high performance version. It is not necessary for that NACA duct for the ME’s aero and cooling functions to work on an entry car, but clearly as the car moves toward higher and higher performance levels, it would have the potential for either better aero, more cooling capability or both with such a duct.

The Ferrari 488 has a visible split intake, where we have not seen that on the ME Corvette. However, within the ME’s single major scoop, could well be two or even three ducted chambers inside of it. This split scoop is what fvs has thought for a long time based on a CAD drawing.
