  • Thank you, JDN!!

My wife and I would like to thank MECF member JDN for driving his beautiful, barely broken in, Rapid Blue Z51 to our home for us to look at. Our only other look was at Les Stanford's dealership reveal which was crowded enough that we didn't get a good chance to poke around the car. Today we were able to take our time and have our questions answered by someone who actually owns a C8. Last week, JDN had offered to take me for a ride. He offered again today and as I was walking around the car to the passenger door I heard "You drive." and was handed the fob. I was able to get in about 5 nice miles and if I thought I was excited about the car this morning, I'm ecstatic tonight. I finally have some small idea why this new Corvette has everyone who's driven it so enamored. Thank you John for sharing your car with us. Thank you even more for trusting me with your baby. I'm looking forward to running some roads with you next year. I have the feeling that this part of Michigan will never be the same.

We bought our first Corvette over 50 years ago because of its looks and performance. We've bought well over a dozen since because of the people that make up the hobby! The cars have always been great.... but the people you meet along the journey the car takes you on are what keep bringing you back.

Well said tooold2race. When we think of our friends right now and for the past four decades, about 80% have been folks we met in our Corvette at an event, are friends of our Corvette friends and similar.

Corvettes as has been said by mega-many, are a lifestyle.
