  • Chazcron’s Renders of the Day

Brand new Chazcron rendering, and many more in this thread. I will later move them all of them into the Chazcron “Work In Progress” rendering thread. Most earlier days’ rendering have been moved to post # 10 in this same thread.

Here first is his latest one (last hour):

front window looks a little blocky..angle maybe???

I agree on your your thought that it is perspective. It will look like this from the front side perspective (a previous, though recent Chazcron rendering).

Just the angle, for this one is taken about 2’ above the pavement, yet our eyes are 5’ above it.

Like the front, rear looks too close to Camaro.

As John often notes, our eyes average 5’ above the pavement. The rear rendering looks as if it is from the perspective of 1’ above the pavement. When we see the C8 in real life we are going to be looking way downward on it. It is going to look vastly different from a Camaro end.

Looking real nice. Thank you Chazcron, though we will might choose this color instead:

                Wow.....these are all great choices!

thank you for the mouth wattering sketches....

i have to see the vehicle in person to decide...although after a decade of a black corvette...even as good as it looks im leaning towards torch red...with black...

its just such a traditional combo for a corvette...

when it comes to resale...(and its not the reason to chose it) black and red are very easy to sell....black being probably one of the easiest....torch ed being synomous with corvette is an easy sale too...

as much as I loved the c7 in green especially with a kalarhari interior...i could never pull the trigger on one and it was a very limited sales success...

in person it was stunning too and i usually prefer black interiors but that combo was sweet...

i dont think ive ever owned a blue car ...ive had a ton of various silvers...whites...even a yellow...

the blue is nice ...best of luck to all as we get to see the vehicle in its official form...

that brings up a decent question...

WHAT COLOR WILL THE CORVETTE MARKETING TEAM CHOOSE IN ITS OFFICIAL LAUNCH PROGRAM?

ill guess torch red and black...

                who says silver?

                blue?

                yellow?

                white?

                Red white and blue?

will the convertible be releases at the same time as the targa?

or will it be a staggered release. ?

                By a year?

                Six months?

Good question, thought we sure do not know a single answer to any of them yet. Kind of like Christmas morning when we were five, and we knew we would get something fun, but not what. In addition to Christmas in less than two weeks, we shall have a reveal present day sometime in the spring.

When the actual Corvette is revealed, all the subtleties I missed will push this car to the next level. It will make many who were on the fence into true believers. Add to that the photographer’s trained eye and their instinct for just the right lighting and angles and we’ll have something special. Those of us who feel compelled to scour the internet for every leaked image may be disappointed with our first view of the real thing as some poorly lit and badly angled cell phone photo..
However, here is the latest one, which as Chazcron describes it:

”I am in the process of reworking my model in Blender. Thanks to bdsvavars for the rough conversion. Lots of patches to fix still. Here is a rough work

I’m loving the front and side views, and hoping they come close to final production. The rear view ~ not so much. Has that “hanging sausage” look the way it slopes/sags in the middle leaves me cold. Beautiful work on the renderings though.??

Amazing work! There are some very talented folks on this forum..... I hope that once the car is revealed, you talented folks can render some possible mods for us (like wheels, ride height, tint etc.) ….At least until the market catches up! Thank you again for all of these remarkable contributions.

Well said USVTRN! We are lucky kids to have Chazcron, fvs and bdsvavars helping us conceptualize the C8!

I understand your specific concerns, yet thing we need to see it in real life IMO. A little birdie who has seen the finished car, said that the rear of it looks good, and looks better than the C7’s in some ways. That sounds promising to me.
