  • Final drive noise

So my non Z-51 non E-Diff car currently has about 800 miles on it, has not been over 4000 rpm, driven within break in rules. I have a final drive whine between 50mph and 60mph. It’s not dependent on the gear the car is in. I know differential noise and that is what it is. Just trying to find out if anyone else has this noise, is it normal?

I do not have it. I have not heard of this as a repeat issue except for one person. He was not even sure it was that and we never heard back either way.

I would visit your dealer soonest.

    Best of luck.

Just curious, was it there from the beginning or did it suddenly appear?

I noticed the noise on my way home from dealer at 30 miles.

I have final drive whine, most noticeable from about 60-65 mph. Mine is also a non-Z-51.
