  • Cars sitting at BGAP for a month

Asking for opinions - has anyone had their cars produced and held at the BGAP lot for a month (or longer) before moving to JCT trailers? If so, anything or any special consideration/inspection I should be looking for when it is finally delivered like battery condition, flat-spotted tires, etc.? Thanks!

I would not worry about anything for mine was there for that amount of time and arrived just perfectly. The one thing I would do is to have your PDI Tech charge its battery while he/she is doing the rest of that service.

My car sat for a long time too. My battery was dead which created minor issues. The battery is in "transport mode" so it's fine after it was charged. The dead battery just created more delay as a key had to be made.

The tires will be fine sitting for that long.

Wow, do they have to make new keys or just reprogram the keys?

They made a totally new physical key without the fob.

I tried it on my friend's C8 and it didnt work though as I was hoping it was a universal key of some kind that they left.

Many cars coming into Canada had the key in the door. I think they have finally got wise and take the key from the fob and leave it in the door in the event the battery goes flat

I was just taking my stick-shift truck out for a head-clearing drive and decided to stop at my dealer. They told me that the car was loaded on JCT trailer this morning - so I left. One minute later, they called me back for a big surprise, BAM! It's there! After it was off the trailer, dealer let me do the honor of the first drive into the bay and let me take the entire cover off! It's amazing! Three weeks after production... best day of 2020, BY A LIGHTYEAR!
