This is another awesome touch with GM and shows that they are doing what they can to make the C8 ownership experience as close to Super Car status as can be reached. With the disappointment of another member being just 7 cars away from a 2020 there still is good news: the dealer sent the best possible regrets for the error. The key other item is that he will hold his place in line if he chooses to; and finally, I noted that the dealer stated that they were still committed to selling him a car at invoice or sticker. It helps the Corvette world that some people do not have to go out and pay 5-25% or more over invoice to get a new C8. I suppose it is not the end-all. Those who aspire to own the C8 Corvette and put themselves out there to fulfill their dream clearly benefit from dealers who will sell them their cars at invoice. It looks like that is going to happen. Having a model with one's VIN on it is a very cool extra. Very nice photographic work, also, so that we can see what it really looks like. Thanks for the posting.

How the heck did that happen.

Probably contact corvette concierge to resolve... # 219 may not be on this site...and he may have your model as well .....yet CC should be able to contact GM fulfillment in Lavonia Michigan to correct the situation.. probably send shipping labels to you or each other to re-send to proper locations.

So, what's the deal here? Does everyone get one? Are they going out in VIN sequence? Even in Canada?

Probably not I fear, since if GM Canada hasn't produced a printed brochure they are not likely to be doing this.

How long after receiving your car did you wait to get the model?

All USA orders get one. They are going out in VIN sequence. A friend on the Corvette Team wasn't sure if Canadian orders get one or not, but you might check with GM Canada to find out.
