  • POLL # 2 C8 MSRP Price For the 2020 Coupe

Rumors and opinions have freely flowed since our last MSRP poll about two months ago for the entry version of the 2020 mid engine Corvette.

What do you believe will be the MSRP for an entry 2020 Corvette coupe, with no options, and not counting taxes, tags and license, nor doc fee, nor delivery charges?

$ 65K- 70K is what I'm really hoping for a base C8, keeping my fingers crossed..

I believe the 75,000 should be to 79,000 not 75,999 but I could be wrong. Anyway my guess would be 75-80K

Sans options five grand more than todays base msrp which is 56 grand ....

I have no idea and just a guess.

        I'm the eternal optimist.

        options will be more expensive.

I too think the options will become nice profit centers for GM (not that they haven’t earlier). Might we see a $2,000 increase for the 3Lt? I certainly think that would be possible. As would similar option pricing increases. Keep the entry MSRP surprisingly low, then make up for some of it with options pricing. I am thinking that is GM’s game plan.

Clearly many are thinking the base will be similar to the C7. I am part of that line of thinking.

Charging more for individual options and option packages is the smart play for GM....

those that like to seperate themselves by spending more on various or all the options creating loaded vehicles will have a field day with more expensive option choices.

And more power to them...its good for them and its good for the corvette team..

just give us dieheart sports car junkies a standard c8 with z51,mrc shocks, dct and npp and we are good to go...

leave the power folding roof and soft sweet leather and alcantara packages to those that love them.

i dont even need or wanted heated and cooled seats , fancy stereos or dual color interiors..

i just want to put the pedal to the metal and enjoy early sunday morning romps up and around the seven lakes and mountains...

i dont mind taking the targa roof off manually...keeps me young and i do my best socializing while im fitting the roof either on the car or in the trunk...

bystanders or passerbys love seeing the whole process take place...im happy to be outsode the car making it happen...

still if the convertible is the prettier of the two maybe ill drop the $7500 or so for the convertible hardtop but probably not...

i believe the grand sport c7 with mrc shocks, npp, a lift off targa costs 65 grand for the 1Lt
and 71 grand for the 2Lt

add five grand and lets have a party..

I even want it in the torch red body with black interior..lol shown oh and i want closer to five hundred hp too.

upon returning from the gym this morning after training i took out my trusty orbital polisher and did up my present black corvette z51manual...

looks awsome but i sure as hell am not doing another black corvette...looks great but come this is ridiculous already...

Gee, no one's going for the $170,000 base price reported on that "other" forum?

Couldn't possibly get more attention than the dog and pony show the power convertible top becomes while in action.

My non knowledge based guess feels that the MSRP figure of a base model (think Biscayne) will be a very good tease price that is comparable to C7's with options added. I also think that by the time you sit down and start checking the boxes to make it the way you want it, you will be sneaking up on $100K. Then, you just know that some dealers out there will adding the premium bump of $10-20K over sticker like some are doing to the ZR1. Just an opinion...nothing based in fact.

noxqq, you bring up a really good point, the critical need for our being smart where we buy from. Top allocation forum dealers never charged a penny over MSRP the entire C7 run, not in the first few months of explosive 2014 sales, not for the really hot Z06 a year later, not for any special edition, not even for the ZR1 (whose supply still has not matched with pre-order requests — and which might not even match up by the time this model year is over).

We buyers get to be smart or we get to buy indiscriminately and pay over sticker. I am hooked up with a dealer who treats his customers right. And there are many more who similarly treat their customers right. And their are shysters. Again we get to choose.

I also think you are spot on that even 2020 entry ME’s will, when loaded, be really close to $100K.

$94 grand msrp so add five grand and you are at 99 grand for a c8 loaded

My 2015 Z51 M7 that I ordered, "stickered" around $81K. It had everything I wanted at that time. My only additional options for the C8 would be a "4LT" interior (that had more premium leather, microfiber seats, and additional sound deadening material) and whatever it might take to get carbon-ceramic brakes. If it comes in for anything less than $95K, I'll be one happy camper (as will the little Mrs.!).
