Yeah, I've been watching that, too. My SS thinks they'll finish the last hour or two of 9 December's night shift. Of course, that changes as every day's production number goes up or down. It's fun to watch, but I'm long past trying to predict when my car might be built. I've adopted a fatalistic attitude in the last weeks. Production will be what production will be, my car will be built when it's built and I'll be almost (but not quite) as happy unloading it directly from the transport into my shop as I would have been driving it home from BG. Spring will come, the snow will melt, the salt will be washed off the roads, and I will make d*&$ sure I have nothing better to do than start racking up miles on her. Patience and flexibility.

    • Need some input on TPW scenario I was 9/28 then 10/5 and last Thursday I was told that my order was not showing a TPW. Is this just GM shuffling dates?

Could be. That's what happened last time I didn't show a TPW. I was 9/28 when they shuffled me back to 11/9. You never know what GM's doing until their card are dealt. Best wishes for sooner rather than later.

          • Does anyone have any more info on the brake sensor issue? I'm awaiting shipping of my C8 produced on the 17th and am wondering if they will continue sending them out even if the dealers are instructed not to deliver them...

            • Well, this is interesting news: if this data holds true, my Corvette should’ve been built this week! Will check with the dealer on Monday, fingers crossed!

There are a total of 38 C8’s which will require the brake module to be replaced. All have been VIN identified. Talk with your dealer and see if you VIN is on the list

Thanks John...I didn't realize that the issue was limited to only 38 C8's....I have an inquiry into my dealer but hadn't heard back before they closed for the weekend, so I thought I'd ask here. As usual, most informative-I'm very appreciative and more encouraged now!

                      • NewVetOwner2020 I am in the same boat as mine was also built the 17th. I've checked two recall sites, GM being one, and come back with NONE so hopefully Are's aren't part of the recall. Hopefully this doesn't hold up on them being shipped out.

                          • GREAT news from John regarding the 'brake issue'..... Now, hopefully, everyone running around with their hair on fire can settle down.

As soon as I see Murray's numbers tomorrow I hope to be doing the 'happy dance' as our HTC should have been built sometime Friday.

The other good news is that I've been watching the Museum web cams and have seen about 4 HTC being delivered to smiling owners a week. The even better news is that today (Sunday), 3 or the 7 Corvettes on the Boulevard for delivery are HTC's! We look forward to being there to take delivery of our in a couple weeks.
C8 Deposit July 2018 (HTC). In the system: Jan 20. Torch Red with lots of goodies. Built in September. Museum Delivery October 21st....

Other toys in the garage: Ferrari California, BMW i8 Roadster, Bentley Flying Spur

My SS (I have two. One estimating production totals and one estimating VIN production days. I have too much time on my hands.) uses a three week rolling average to estimate production. This morning it predicts future production at 171 daily average. In the end, we're only one day's production apart. It's been interesting to see how close our estimates have been. Keep it up. A lot of people depend on you for a bit of good news every morning.
