  • Cadillac or Corvette Mid Engine?

Okay so there is a bunch of discussion on this forum and others as well on what kind of car is this going to be?
Some believe this is a Corvette and some think its definitely a Cadillac. while we all have no 100% proof its either, I can say I am almost if not 100% positive this is a Corvette and Ill explain why.
1.The vehicle has non Cadillac lines on it. this car is very "swoopy" and very aggressive looking not to mention the wheels that these "mules" have been spotted with scream chevrolet and not Corvette..
2.Corvette ZR1 test cars have been spotted cruising with the "mules" around the U.S. so why would they do this? more than likely because Team Corvette is in charge of this developmental vehicle and not Cadillac.
    3. And lastly what I believe to be the most definitive proof... The 2 Team members is wearing clothing with a Logo on arm and chest. I've circled the areas. guess what that Emblem is? that's right CORVETTEClick image for larger version Name:	image_2934.jpg Views:	1 Size:	122.0 KB ID:	13999

Can't imagine GM building two "different" DOHC. Gotta be some crossover effort.

"Also debuting is an all-new Cadillac 4.2-liter twin-turbo DOHC V8, the first of its kind for GM’s top-level luxury brand. In 550-horsepower trim, this clean-sheet engine will power the CT6 V-Sport; a lesser, 500-horsepower version will find its way to non-V-Sport models."

Probably make it to the C8 in some form.

Never had thought it would be a Cadillac, for they have way bigger issues/problems/holes in the product mix. They are bringing out a new vehicle no less often than every six months over the next few years to try and fix their omissions compared to their competitors.

Maybe we see a 2023 all electric Cadillac ME sports car, but personally doubt we see any form of a Cadillac sports car before then.
Enjoying my Shadow gray C8. What a car it is.

Yep. Cadillac said no other division will get that exact engine. That doesn't mean every division won't get something based on the same design, but with (as an example) the heads reversed and the turbos outside the V, rather than a hot V design. Or with more or less displacement and different cams and tuning. But I agree, GM didn't invest hundreds of millions in a new engine to give it only to one division.
