2LT Bose Stereo center speaker between seats hardly makes a sound

Setting up my radio stations and Sirius , as well as Bluetooth for my phone so I can crank some tunes.. I am trying to figure out why my Center speaker between the seats is hardly making a sound... even when I fool with the settings i,e, the fader , equalizer and other control settings and putting it all towards the rear ...its hardly making a sound.. The other speakers sound pretty good..when I have it centered on normall...but hardly anything is coming out of the speaker between the seats... It is a speaker isn't it ?? lol

Anyone else notice this ?

Thanks C808 for raising this issue. Perhaps your speaker or its wiring is defective. I am now super curious as to what others’ respond who also have a 2LT/3LT about the volume/clarity of their center waterfall speaker.

Dude...you're supposed to clean the wax outta yo right ear before fiddlin with the tunes. Sorry...couldn't resist. The center channel on a stereo system isn't going to be as loud as the others because its a dimensional filler. And with it right next to your ear they certainly made sure not to have it cranking as loud as the rest of the system so as not to blow your ear out. Need to get some other folks to chime in and verify they have the same situation.

I guess Im just use to the Gen V Viper's Harmon Kardon stereo system that cranks it out loud from the center speaker and really makes a difference.

I can tell you that the center channel on the Lambo's isn't as loud as the rest of the system either but you can definitely hear that its there.

Get a SoundMeter APP for your phone and take some readings to report to your service Tech.

It’s not very loud, it is only about a 2 or 3 inch tweeter. As RoketRdr said, it is “filler”. I would suggest experimenting with the settings, and there are a number of them, and set to taste. With a quality sound system, the speakers “disappear” , meaning it becomes difficult to pinpoint the location of the speakers.......enjoy!

The system is balanced to where little sound will come from that speaker. 14 speakers in a 2 door sports car??? Really??? It is an overdesign of what is needed. The 10 speaker sound system in a 1 LT is more than ample. If the center speaker was louder it would overcome the music from the opposite side speakers of the car, It is a Bose. Bose systems do not need 14 speakers. It is the way it is designed. Call Bose. They will tell you

Deeper in the settings you get options for driver , passenger, or center. Put it on center, that speaker seems to be mostly a tweeter that you will hear drum cymbals . center fills the cabin like a concert hall

Yes , I did that ..Center is the best ..compared to driver and passenger... I just wish the speaker between the seats was as loud as the others
it just seems like the sound is too far forward ….even when I move the sound to the rear it sounds like a AM radio....

I like it louder between the seats when I crank my Dokken

Its not a bad sound system...I just had expectations it would be better than Gen V Viper system...

For those who CRANK it way up, please consider your ears. The price you might pay is way to high.

I doubt anyone will pay attention to this, but this former rock musician, who loves music, hasn't been able to even turn on the sound system in a car for several years! If I do it simply sounds like WWIII with no clarity, just headache level noise. I used to love our screaming Fender Dual Showmans...if I had only known.

I played guitar in a progressive metal band for many years in the late 80s, early 90s. And you are correct, I have the worst case of tinnitus, it is maddening . nothing you can do about it, this is forever. Loud music is almost soothing to me now . it seems to be my only escape from the 24 hour a day ringing in both ears. I can't go to a concert though , that kills me.
