ME to Debut Active Aero?
Thanks to Keith [email protected], we earlier learned some compelling information on the Corvette’s active aerodynamics plans, including a formal patent application. Keith’s article, despite its showing pictures of the C7, conjectured this active aero would be held until the mid engine. He was right, for while some thought we would see some of its components on the C7 ZR1, they did not appear. His March 23, 2017 article was entitled, “Patent Applications Details For Adaptive Aerodynamics Plans.” Here is that article.

In it, are many pictures shown in the actual patent application; Keith also linked the entire ten-page patent, which contained not just the pictures but all the accompanying verbiage. The entire patent is below.
We have, so far, not seen any active aero components on the entry 2020 ME IVERS — at least none we can confirm. However, its front and rear remains massively camouflaged, so perhaps one or two are on it, or maybe all are being held for the latter ZORA ME — with its rumored 1,000 HP and AWD. Or, could some/many of the aero components surface on an interim, non-AWD version which would only have around 600-800 HP???
We sure do not yet have a clue. It is exciting to think of all the upcoming aero possibilities, both those included in this patent and/or those that are incorporated into the actual body panel shapes.
