Toyota Force GM’s ME NAIAS Reveal?
Can you imagine that GM might have re-thought the C8’s reveal timeline when yesterday it was announced by The Fast Lane Car, MotorAuthority and elsewhere, that at long last, after years of teasing the Supra, that the Supra will be revealed at the mid-January, North American International Auto Show.
So if GM has other plans whatever they were/are, if they were other than and “not before, nor at NAIAS,” could they now allow Supra to be the only major sports car to be revealed at the Show. And with so many other major brands already stating that they are not showing up at NAIAS, if GM were to have before choosen to wait for some reason, for some other location, say for the mid-march Geneva Auto Show (the world’s most prestigious show), that if no ME were revealed at NAIAS, that the Supra would be the OEM major (and perhaps only) sports car reveal at Detroit — and the indignity for GM if that were the case with GM’s Renaissance Headquarters being just blocks away.
To me, if GM had thought Chicago, Geneva or even waiting to the New York Show in mid-April, could the Supra reveal have changed the ME’s reveal timing?
