  • Any Dealers with open Allocation?

Due to my dealer not telling me I was #4 of #3 allocation, and ordered back in July, was hoping to find an opening. Can I even hope?

I believe MacMulkin has open allocations.

I would CALL the big volume players (MacMalkin, Les Stanford in Dearborn, Mike Furman at Criswell, and Kerbeck) and ask them. Check out this forum for the name of the right Corvette specialist. Don't just ask whoever answers the phone.... they really don't know what's going on in the Corvette world. See if they have an open allocation OR if it's worthwhile to get on their 'standby' list. If you have the car you want spec'd out and you're willing to give 'em a refundable deposit, they will know you're serious and act accordingly.

Your experience is a excellent example why it's best to deal with the big players..... they get the cars (some over 1000 this year) and they have the knowledge.

Like said.. Go to a big dealer (on the forum) and tell them you want a Corvette. Make sure the word gets to at least the sales manager. I have a bet you will get a 2020 Corvette. A dealer I know of in a large city probably doesn't know that some folks got on many list so there will be a few available after the smoke settles. Charlie aka cutnout

Is this a joke? My dealer has 26 firm orders and was allocated 3 cars

So your dealer is taking deposits and entering those 26 orders on his computer thus generating 1100 status even though he only actually has 3 total 2020 allocations?

Correct. Kerbeck announced mid last fall that their entire 2020 allocations are all taken. They are taking 2021 orders in some way (not sure it is an internal priority list or whatever). Good people there, and as we know they will again have the largest 2021 allocation of every dealer. Of course MacMulkin, Criswell and Stanford are also going to have very, very significant 2021 allocations.

Good luck although I'm not sure if any of the forum Dealers will getting anyone a 2020 that they're ordering now. There's a bunch of us that ordered 7+ months ago that are still waiting for calls which may be cutting it close. Also not all of those dealers will even tell you what number you are or where you are on their list. Although they are all tops in the country you have to have blind trust with some. You may be better off keeping your 2020 spot with your guys and getting on a 2021 list with one of the top guys. Not sure of how their lists are building up but you may get a 2021 in early Oct. Good luck as in a few months I feel a lot of nervous people that don't have cars being built will be doing all kinds of jumping around, should be crazy to watch and hear.

Because of a very small number of dealers doing business like this a lot of good dealers get a bad rap. Did he really think 20 some customers would cancel their orders. This dealers name and location should be made known.

I want to thank this forum, found a dealer with 30 slots, and I'm 22. Just about as good as you can get! Once my dealer said bigger shops were buying unsold allocations, made me look outside the box.................Thanks again.😎
