[video] Installing ACS Composite's Carbon Flash Fender Extensions on C7 Corvette Z06/Grand Sport

Chevrolet did a fantastic job designing and engineering the aerodynamics of the C7 Corvette but some of the factory pieces like the front wheel splats are just textured plastic and leave us wanting more. When you want to replace some of those factory bits with those that have been painted in Carbon Flash (black) or made in real Carbon Fiber, many Corvette owners have turned to our friends at ACS Composite.

This instructional video from ACS Composite features company owner Joseph Taverna installing new their new Carbon Flash-painted extensions on a C7 Z06. Many of the parts and accessories offered by ACS Composite can be easily installed quickly and confidently with basic tools, and with videos like this, you’ll see exactly how the professionals do it.

With a screwdriver and a couple of different sized bits, Joseph goes to work and removes all the fasteners holding the stock fender extensions in place. Chevy also uses double-sided tape and he talks about removing that with a liquid adhesive remover.

Once the old extension is removed, Joseph fits the new extension in its place, making sure all the fastener tabs and screw holes are lined up perfectly first. Once he is satisfied with the placement, Joseph returns all the fasteners back in place and the final piece of the install is removing the double-sided tape covers and ensuring that it’s adhered firmly to the inside of the fender.

ACS is currently offering their C7 Z06/Grand Sport front fender extensions for $379 for the pair. It’s a savings of $179 over the $558 list price and ACS will ship them to you for free! Read more about the C7 Z06/Grand Sport Fender Extensions and replace that dull, matte plastic look on your widebody C7 with the great looking Carbon Flash-painted extensions from ACS Composite!
