The alternative of driving from Kentucky during the winter over the Rockies in a brand new Corvettes is not one for me. Shipping it directly from NCM is $2,000.

Thus for us with our second new one in a row arriving in the dead of winter, courtesy delivery is our best option.

I get it winter time driving across the country is wacked...

      350 is a smart play..

i do enjoy that drive home in my various corvettes over the years.....although four or five hours has been my longest trip home though ...

i never did that bowling green delivery thing myself as bowling green is 14 hours of driving....now thats just way too long a drive at this point in my life as well..

40 odd years ago i used to drive 22 hours straight in one day from florida to NY....then go out partying all night once back in NY...

      those days are long gone.

After getting no satisfaction in his attempted Northern NJ buying experience last Fall, I directed a friend to MacMulkin in Nashua NH, a sponsoring dealer. He chose his car from inventory on the web site on a Monday, A day or two later he boarded a non stop flight from Newark Airport to Manchester NH. MacMulkin picked him up at the airport, drove him to Nashua, he did the no nonsense transaction, got his orientation on the car. Hit the road and was back in his driveway to sleep in his own bed that night.

Told me he never had such a straight forward car buying experience.

MacMulkin sold us our 2015 Z06. Ditto, ditto, ditto! Super knowledgeable, had great allocation, and between the time we placed our order, they helped us track it all the way until the day they notified us that it had just come off the assembly line.

Funny thing happened after a Corvette club meeting about a year later. We had gone out for pizza and at our table of five — everyone one of us had bought our C7’s from MacMulkin. Super interesting, is that we all live in Oregon.

Not the usual car buying experience there, but actually a fun one!

I sent in my packet to Kerbeck this week. I never heard back from MacMulkin, so I went with the K team. (BTW, I talked to a salesperson at my local dealer, Van Chevy in Scottsdale, and even though they are considered a "high volume" Corvette dealer, he couldn't confirm that they wouldn't be adding a spiff to the MSRP for early adopters. )

Kerbeck is outstanding. I had two excellent, new Corvette purchases from their head Corvette person Dave Salvatore. Dave is at: (877) 537-2325. I hope at some point you communicate directly with Dave, that you share with him that you are a member of this forum. If you would prefer, you might instead send him an email to: dave@kerbeck.com

Thank you. Kerbeck’s allocation is huge, probably in excess of 100 C8’s every month. Please PM me if I could help in any way.

Thanks...yeah, I've been e-mailing Dave quite a bit - a thousand questions and all that - we'll see how it all lays out. Hoping I can do a museum delivery deal and run it up to KC to show it off to all my old friends up there and get the first oil change done, then blast to Azirona, skipping all the highways (and hopefully any bad weather!). The courtesy delivery is an option as well. Where's that dang time compressor device!

ID:	35741 The C7 I took delivery on 10/2013 ...I used my trade to off set taxes to the tune of $3500. So that’s my plan this time around. The local dealer will sell at MSRP and maybe the GM card cash might be available also. It was on the early C7’s. I’m 5th on his list and just need to be patient at this point. In February GM card always throws in a $2000 bonus offer + your earnings. FYI

What a novel way to be dirtbags and charge an ADM, without calling it an ADM. "No, no, it's not a mark up! You see, you're paying for the privilege to pay MSRP for your C8. Completely different!"

I went ahead and contacted the seller of this “great opportunity.” Before doing that I looked up and while there is no Chevy dealer in Springfield, OR, the closest Chevy dealer in the next city over is Kendall Chevrolet (who sell some Corvettes annually). So I asked the seller if he worked at Kendall Chev? Here is his response — one that is sure to incur more confidence in your sending him/her your $10,000.

I have no connection to Kendall Chevrolet. I am not in the Auto business.

Which leads me to the opinion that this person is a valued/preferred customer of Kendall Chev (or probably some other Oregon Chevy dealer), that the dealer she/he buys from has said “your my # 1 order,” and so forth.

What does he ship you that costs $4.06 shipping?

No longer there? My search did not find. Much more likely it's a scam.

Maybe that would be his contractual agreement. But of course, he will not be shipping me anything; I do not think he will have any other MECF takers.

We have seen this type of profit making process used at least once before.
