  • Best Car Show Chair?

After twenty years, time for us to replace our car show chairs. We also intend to upgrade to get those with “built in sun shade protection.” Of course, going into our C8, they must be foldable.

I am looking please for suggestions. A specific link(s) would be outstandingly helpful. Here is one I found, but without reviews???

Here you go John, 3 Position and can move the umbrella where you need it. 1. Sport-Brella Recliner

    <img aria-describedby="caption-attachment-224" class="size-full wp-image-224" src="https://www.byways.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Sport-Brella-Beach-Chair-Canopy-1.png" alt="Sport-Brella Recliner review" width="400" height="400" />
    The Sport-Brella Recliner

When you’re ready to put your feet up and relax, you can put your feet up for real with the Sport-Brella Recliner. This recliner allows you to lean back and raise your feet to get ultimate comfort on the beach, by the pool or when you’re camping. This lightweight chair is designed to give you everything that you need, from a personal canopy to a drinks holder and built-in bottle opener, plus a zippered storage pouch for all of your things. You won’t need to get up from your chair once you’ve settled in. The full-coverage umbrella offers you UPF 50+ protection from the sun with its metallic undercoating, and it works on a 3-way swivel so you can adjust it to your liking.

The built-in insulated pocket can hold several drinks, so you won’t have to keep getting up to refresh yourself. With the 3-way reclining positions, you can sit or recline however you want and really start to relax. The strong construction of the frame allows it to hold up to 250 pounds, but it still folds down so that it’s lightweight and easy to transport. It weighs 13.5 pounds and packs into a slimline bag, making it easy to fit into your car or store out of the way when you’re not using it.

Everything can be adjusted on this chair, from the footrest and reclining position to the umbrella, which can be put on either side or removed completely. It allows you to enjoy it however you want.

Be sure to check the size of those when folded. Those built in sunshade chairs are pretty big when folded. Think golf bag size. 😉. Two of them will probably fill up the trunk, if that matters to you.

My experience with two sets of Sport Brella's is that they do not hold up very well. Won't ever buy them again.

Thanks George. As a result of your post, I did some researching into them, and all love them when they work, their evaluations as to their functional integrity are not positive by many. I think unless I get new suggestions, at this point planning on go with my OP — but open to more and better ideas.

As a result of meyerweb’ s good suggestion I dug further, and their folded size would fine nicely within th trunk with more than a few inches to spare.

If you weigh in at over 200lbs most of the foldable chairs will not last long.

              How about this one?

Here is a inflatable sofa and you could put a canopy over it for several people.

Or there are inflatable chairs that are comfy

John - Further comments on the Sport Brellas. Mine were OK when new, but my set in Florida didn't hold up well at all, the fabric degrades too quickly and the hardware is just not sturdy enough to hold up. The set up North has been somewhat better, due to cooler weather and less sand and salt air. They do fold up nicely into a carry bag. However, I will definitely get something else next time. Have recently seen a couple of nice looking option, but unfortunately don't have the product names. I'd search Amazon, LL Bean, and others for camp chairs. Good luck, and if you find something nice please share the info.

This is the best chair I've owned. It has fit in all of my Corvettes but not sure about the C8.

Thank you Brad. I like this chair. Sent an inquiring email to them asking about dimensions when folded. I am sure it will fit, but just double checking.

Thanks WayneZ06 for the chair’s specs. They will fit with literally 1’6” in length to spare within the trunk. I know some are concerned about the coupe’s roof eating up the trunk, and while valid, there’s still the frunk and when we got to events where we take our chairs, we take them out, then put the roof into the trunk. Nice think about the C8 is that that leaves the entire frunk for cooler, detailing supplies, and more.

Also, and this will take the first of us getting our coupe and reporting back to us all, is that because the roof fits in on a diagonal slant, we will be able learn what will fit into the trunk’s front bottom triangle even when the roof in stored there, and what will fit on top of the reverse-triangular-space above the roof, e.g., some jackets and other soft stuff.

I see they have a 15% off coupon going for Halloween.

                          A few pics.

In the 66, plenty of room for other things.
