An amzing time to be a car enthusiasts...

hellcats, demons redeyes with up to 840 , 800 or 707 hp from dodge

ford fans have 480 hp in the bullit, 526 in the ford gt350 and now a 760 hp dct equipped gt500...wow...

msrp starts at 70 grand for the gt500 and climbs fast...2 grand for gas guzzler tax, 1100 for destination, 19 grand for their carbon fiber track package...10 grand for wide painted stripes...

buyers hit 100 grand pretty quick not to mention “dealer market adjustment fees” ford dealers are famous for

I know a lot of guys what a manual transmission but I give fird a lot of credit moving to a dct along with IRS for the new mustang gt500 and bringing it to the 21 st century...

im not a huge fan of the ford gt500 or the mustang in general but i certainly do respect their fine efforts with the current generation..

always admiration for the iconic brand even if I personally dont desire to own one...

good looking, great performance two thumbs up...

should be massive youtube video coverage of gt500 s versus camaro zL1 1LE versus the dodge Redeye

gojng to be a fun year in magazine and youtube comparision tests

        which do you guys orefer?

        just for conversation...

        zl1, gt500 or redeye?

ZL1, I’m a Chevy guy. It’s just that simple for me.

I tend to agree although that dct in the ford GT 500 should be pretty cool...

the ZL1 would probably be my choice as well...

as cool as the dodge is ...its my least favorite.

I am sure GM is paying attention to the Fords, Maybe not. You get a lot of Ford for under 100K with more HP than the ZR1 for a lot less money. Another reason the C8 Corvette has to come in at a base price in the low 60s for a base car. Or GM will not meet target sales.

Having owned both a 14 Shelby GT500 performance pac 662hp and a 16 Shelby GT 350 track pac 525 hp
All I can say is they are big Sport coupes and no way you can compare them apples to apples with a Corvette , Jaguar or any other 2 seat sports car. Dodge boys are just making a mustang with even larger dimensions. Having owned a 17 GS 460hp and Jaguar F type R 550 hp convertible and S coupe 380 hp .These are my opinions of course based on past ownership.

For those who think the $70K price tag is steep, well, in Canada it's going to be within spitting distance of $100K without any options. A stripper . More than a Hellcat or a ZL-1 apparently.
