the corvette marketing did their homework...glad they didnt show off the new c8 corvette there...
the show will go down as a disaster ....the last before their move to the summer of 2020...
hopefully that change of date will rejuvenate the long standing auto show..
the internet has killed in general retail stores for many items.
never thought we would see the destruction of the detroit auto show because if it...
maybe a little harsh but wow...what happened seemed to happen quick...
for a time the internet reveals were making the shows more valuable ti manufacturers and consumers alike...
now manufacturers are going a different route for reveals and by passing auto shows almost entirely...
money soent at private reveals cost less, can hold journalist hostage multiple times longer and the public gets a more detailed review....
win win win but a huge loss for the expensive auto shows that were a staple in the industry for decades...
wall street not loving auto companies compared to tech companies with minimal multiples has auto comapmies rushing to dump sedans so they can become labelled as mobility comoanies and get the stock prices higher...lol
all that said we can bunker down and be patient as the corvette c8 prepares to release whenever it does...
im good waiting....maybe a second year c8 isnt all that big a deal...
i still dont believe it was ever an electrical issue...
just a marketing plan...
detroit was an unmitigated snoozefest...
wake me up when c8 release occurs..(kidding)
detroit show used to be awesome. Just sad to see how auto shows all of a sudden have become irrelevant...
the new supra bmw and the mustang gt500 with 700 hp and a dct were impressive..
im not a ford guy but props to ford for offering a massive powerful motor and a technical achievement of a dct...
i didnt like the pale colors they showed for the vehicle though...
thought it but the awesome performance vehicle in a weird somewhat dull light...
great vehicle...just should have had a bolder sharper color pallete for the auto circuit...
maybe next time in Chicago ford will brighten the awesome gt500 paint jobs.
