I was never really a supra fan over the years....still from this view it looks kind of cool.

i believe this is a competitor to the nissan 370z a little more than say corvettes...but we wont know until its fully revealed with engine etc..

The bmw z roadster platform sharing was both a stroke of genius and a bit of a disappointment...

hopefully these new supras will be a stout as the mk4......when modded...

i believe 600 hp is possible with the bmw sourced motor pretty easily...

usually second owners go for the high hp numbers..

the concept cars bold looks were imoressive. The spy shots with camoflauge were hard to tell if the sides got toned tone dramatically which i hope didnt..

bold concept like styling that actually makes it to production is what makes vehicles iconic...and successful in the marketplace...

from this view..it looks pretty good...another moth and we ll see the rest...

is the supra a manual and a 8 speed zf torque convertor choice or did toyota opt for the dct and manual?

I think bmw signed the deal as theirs will be a cruiser with the zf torque convertor only...

really was imoressed with the slick concept bmw z4 but the production car again....just toned down all the excitment to the pount of not so cool looking...and a bit boring...

bmw durability out of warranty always bothers me...its like a bad joke..

maybe this one is different...

The supra shares the upcoming bmw z4 platform...

The supra concept car was good looking.hopefully the production vehicle will be close to the concept car.

ill never buy a japanese replacement for a corvette.

i spend my money when i can on a,erican made and american branded products..

I will say the bmw sister car concept was striking and here is the priduction version..,

the four cylinder starts at 50 grand.

the six cylinder starts 15 grand pricier at 65 grand

suposedly the supra is a six cylinder so expect its price to be closer to 65 grand but without a convertible it might be 5 grand cheaper?

hopefully the transition from concept car to prodiction car wont be as horrid as what happened to the bmw concept car.

Thanks JB. Going back to the earlier question as to whether the Toyota Supra will be an ME competitor.

The Supra 6 cylinder version starts at $65,000 (ballpark of the C8’s price); the V6 Supra has around 382 HP and 369 TQ (at least those are the numbers in its BMW sister car).

My personal conclusion:

Massive advantage to the C8 with about 100+ more HP and 100+ more TQ.
