Shmee has been in Markham, Ontario seeing his car in production. That's one busy part of the car.

It is always good to see video of a great car and how it is put together. Thank you Bikerjulio. I enjoyed it.

We all however, know what when Schmee’s $455,000+ Ford GT goes against the $125,000 (roughly) 2021 Corvette ME, we will be looking forward to Shmee’s changing his car to the latter — and we hope to see a similar video of the ME’s production.

I will bet Corvette team engineers, perhaps also those on the race team, have done a frame by frame review of this vid.

I love the TV show, “How It Made: Dream Cars.” One of my favorites. Wish the show were to return with a complete video of the Ford GT being made, and then next year to show the 2020 ME Corvette.
Enjoying my Shadow gray C8. What a car it is.

When ford sold their 05/06 ford GT for $165K msrp loaded they had a supercar at Ford prices. Now Ford wants $450K msrp for a FORD at super car prices. GM will blow them away next year at the track and on the streets for us car nuts. Had a new 05 Ford GT but no way could I justify $450K even if they decided I was ford GT worthy. Which they didn’t. Just my 2 cents and nothing more.

Ford told you that you were not "worthy" of their GT?? That is not how to sell 1/2 million dollar cars!

Imagine the 450k monster will suck up and spit out the base C8 BUT in a couple of years when the "Beast" C8 is released it may be a very different story.....

Another thing will be about 300k cheaper as well!!

Ferrari does the exact same thing. You have to be on the “ list “ to buy a new one.

The good news is the C7 R beat the “monster” Ford GT lap record at VIR. by 1.37 seconds. I would bet the first year ME will be as fast., if Chevy gets it right.

If the first year base C8 engine runs with the C7 R I will be shocked beyond all belief. Just not enough HP but everything is just speculation until the "man behind the curtain" makes the reveal and then we will see! Personally cannot wait to see it then will have to wait another couple of years hopefully just one until the high hp version is brought out.

I understand that is only for the higher up models.

Let me correct my bad,, it was the ZR-1 not the C7r. Just another joyful senior moment for me.
