Any other RACE car Drivers in MECF ?

Just wondering if there any any other race car drivers and what you drove? And why you are buying a ME Corvette

Driven several different cars on tracks, at near racing speeds, at various times over the years, but never raced. I did, many, many years ago, race motorcycles. But while there are certainly similarities, the experiences and techniques are very, very different.

I first began, as many have, doing "Skippy" school races. Just last year, however, I hung up my racing boots after vintage racing a 1963 Lotus 23B for 20+ years with SVRA. I still have that car, as well as, a 2008 Lotus 2-Eleven track car. Both are in my garage at Putnam Park Motorsports Club in Green Castle, IN. I've also owned several Elise/Exige variants, an 88' Esprit Turbo, and an original S3 Lotus Elan. The C7 is my first Corvette. I'm now too old and too big to be crawling in and out of tiny Lotus cars. They were great toys and wonderful track rats but terribly impractical, hence the C7 which I love, as does the Mrs. especially when compared to riding shotgun in an Exige! Why the ME Corvette? Mid-engine handling in an affordable American made GT type car, period! As much as I love the C7, I miss the precise turn in of a mid-engine car. If FVS's renderings are even 80% close, the styling ain't bad either!

Not sure I qualify but I've run the Big Bend Open Road Race the last three years.....the first two in a 2015 TR Z51 Stingray, and this year in a 2017 TR GS. Not sure I can get a ME will have to see the pricing.

There will be an ME in your price range, whether buying a one year pristine, low, low mileage trade in or maybe even buying it new.
