Just saw this post but felt obligated to add.

Definitely a day I will never forget. My fire department at the time was put on standby for Shenksville and then NYC after FEMA, NTSB and FAA officials realized there was nothing left of Flight 93 so nothing for us to do. Spent about 24 hours at the station responding to everyday calls but anxiously waiting for that call to go help at the pile which never came.

Had a good friend that lost his brother who was a chief's aid, FF Michael Bocchino FDNY who was climbing the stairs prior to the South Tower collapse. Too many lost that day because of religious fanatics and others that continue to lose their battle with the effects of the building collapses.

This day and those lost will never be forgotten.
