Oh my! Even Ferrari has given in to fake engine noise for electric cars!!!

I never watched formula E yet I can say my electric audi etron jet turbine engine sounds on acceleration cracks me up inside the vehicle.

the videos of the eray running circles etc with the youtube kiddies in the car...they were laughing about the jet turbine sound in the cockpit and had positive things to say as it was a mix of the lt2 roar from behind their heads and the jet engine coming from in front of the cockpit.

i sort of think the youtubers really enjoyed themselves in the Eray cockpit from a sound perspective.

Honestly if ever I want to take a nap i turn on auto racing and Im down for the count in a matter of minutes so formula e being boring isnt really news

Yes. A really annoying (to me) high pitched whine. Imagine a slot car or electric RC car on steroids.

Ok...I can actually recall the noise the slot cars made....a high-pitched whine.......

The issue of the C7 427 engines was a difficult one for the very, very, very small number of owners. Mega thousands, including me, owned and loved that terrific Z06 without a single incident of even the tiniest engine issues.

Zero problems, and it was the best looking Vett of all those I have owned.

John...the local Corvette Dealer says buy an absolutely stock model.......no modifications..... because it is a very sophisticated high-tech engine with very tight tolerances......and EVERYTHING is designed to work with the original design.......so if you change anything it will affect everything.... if you don't track it, you don't need the greater oil capacity...

Thanks for providing good and important info for an anyone thinking about getting one. Interesting in his interview recently, Vehicle Performance Manager Aaron Link still raves about the 427, 7L engine — calling it his favorite until the LT6 (but still loving the 427).

Fake engine sounds are rather cheesy. I'll never buy an all electric "performance" car. I might buy one to commute in but not having the rumble ruins it for me.

Ooohhh,, Meldoon THAT'S an interesting debate! I have had a stick shift on my cars for decades and I was a bit sorry to see it go in the C8. However, now that I ALWAYS drive in Manual mode and use the paddle shifters it's almost as good. Only thing missing is my left foot. However,,,no exhaust/engine noise???? Hmmm.....
