  • Car Capsule or Partition off garage?

Cat keeps walking on the car and scratching it. Why can't cats be dogs? Dogs are so much better than them snooty, stuck up cats!

I know, I know... put a cover on it ya'dummy! I have a cover but it's too much work. I have to add additional layers of blankets to keep his nails from poking through the cover. This works but really only gets done after the car has been cleaned because It's dusty as heck around here! If I cover it after having the car out, dust on the surface of the car will be ground into the finish under the cover. I don't want to wash and dry the car every time because well that just too much darn work.

Anyway, here are my questions. If you have other suggestions, please share!

    First Option:
Car Capsule. Has anyone used something like this? Are they a pain? I like the idea of dust free since they use filtered air for positive pressure, but they are not cheap!

    Second Option:
Partition off the third bay like this (build an actual finished wall with doorway).

    Third option:
Feline exterminator! Joking of course, but it's crossed my mind!

We have a cat but so far he has not been on the cars. Seems like a partition would be easier to use if you have the width.
There is a madness to my method!

      • Cat is just jealous you haven't turned over the keys to the Vette.

Park on the street and let the cat have the garage.

We are great with both! Whatever anyone wants in their garage or house is just fine. If owning a Tata Nano makes you happy, happy driving. If you wish a toy poodle all dolled up, go for it. At the same time our personal preference is our 100 pound Belgium Terveren Shepherd (a German Shepherd with a extra/third coat of fur).

That would be rough on the hood. ?

That's actually not a bad idea... temporarily at least. Sometimes the simplest solution is just on the other side of the door!

Driveway is big enough, safe for the vette not being on the street, and would give me time to build the wall.

I still have trouble understanding why he sits on the vette?
I've moved it to other positions in the garage... picks the vette?
Other cars that have warm engines... picks the vette?
I started putting a nice thick blanket on the roof of my DD when I get home... picks the vette?

Guess he's just corvette cat and we should have named him Zora.
The offending Feline! Typical cat, thinks he's awesome! When I take the dogs for a walk the cat follows along as part of the pack.

Now that I’m thinking about it... before we had the vette the cat would go in the open window of our cars and sleep in there. I always leave the windows open in the garage to air them out and because I leave the keys in the cars. The wife and I have both found the cat in the back seat and had to turn around to take him home. But since we got the vette he hasn’t done that?
