Vibration issues were what caused Ford to abandon their voodoo engine in the Mustang GT4 program after one year. That car only raced in a 4 hour race not a 24 hour endurance race. Should be interesting to see how the Corvette Racing team handles the same problems in vibration. After all this is a 5.5 size motor which is considered large for a FPC configuration. Ferrari used a smaller V8 and therefore has less vibration issues to cope with. We shall see how it does after 24 hours on the track this coming January.

Can’t wait to see the car up close in the garage at Daytona next January. Can’t wait to hear it idle in the garage then a few blips on the gas. Finally see and hear it on the infield downshifting one gear after another. Then on to the high banks at wot and down to the bus stop. Really looking forward to an amazing experience to be honest. The sound the smell and the goose bumps that this car will provide.
Then reality will set in that I still have to wait another 2 months for the C8 to finally be in MY garage.

For a premium publication, they seem to have little or no new information

Under "Chassis Secrets" it is said that processes were used to lighten and strengthen the C-8R Chassis, starting from and based on the Convertible Corvette. The cost is not addressed.
So at some unknown cost , if that cost permits, The chassis for homologated C8 might be lightener and stiffer. It is of interest whether more powerful C8 variants might possibly be lighter the the Stingray.
