I'm curious as to what engine pratt and miller will use for next years series. Will this be a dohc? I don't know all the rules on engine specs, I thought corvette used a 5.5 liter which would make the big block out of the picture. Any thoughts how long p&M has been testing the new chassis ?

Welcome aboard MECF maswindell. I can only begin to guess at most of your questions, but we do know two things officially. First, that the C8.R will be racing next year starting at Daytona in January. Second, that the C8.R was under development in April, 2018 per Doug Fehan. Might it have been in development for multiple years or months before then is not publicly known. Also not known are motor details. However, in this video, folks with super ears swear that they are hearing a flat plane crank.

GBA Black; HTO Twilight/Tension interior; Z51 & Mag Ride; E60 lift; 5VM visible carbon fiber package; 5ZZ high wing; FA5 interior vis CF; ZZ3 engine appearance; 3LT; Q8T Spectra Gray Tridents; J6N Edge Red Calipers; SNG Edge Red Hashmarks; VQK Splash Guards; RCC Edge Red engine cover; VJR illuminated sill plates. They have used the same engine in the C6R and C7R and are limited to 500 horsepower I believe. They may well continue using the same engine. It has proven itself.

Pratt Miller doesn’t build the race engines. They are built in-house by GM employees.
