Can’t wait until the C8R hits the race track next year at Daytona. Having an 6 year old race car compete against newer equipment on the track can’t be easy for team Corvette. Maybe we will see private customer Ford GT’s go against the C8R next year at LeMans . Maybe even IMSA also. Hope so. This year a customer Ford GT won the GTE AM class. In GTE PRO no GM of Ford on the podium.

When even Porsche converts its RSR’s from its customer rear engine configuration to a ME configuration to compete against C7.R’s and others, you know it is time for the C8 and the C8.R to be ME, e.g., the laws of physics that an ME, all else being equal, is better than a FE in terms of braking, handling and acceleration.

We have competed magnificently with an older race car. I still feel we will win a couple more races in our class this year so not counting us out — but as we move forward, we must move forward to a ME C8.R.
