Your Lottery Z06 Christmas Present

Tired of waiting and want a long shot to get your Z06? I have two friends who between them have won three new Corvettes. Is this your Christmas self-present? https://www.midenginecorvetteforum.c...iversary-coupe. Might you be the third friend who wins a Corvette lottery by buying just one ticket? Of course still going to be many months until you are driving it, but if you win a heck of lot cheaper than your/my other plan.

For many Corvette Racing fans, it’s a dream to make the transatlantic trek to France to watch the iconic yellow Corvettes battle it out with Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin, Ford and others at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Some folks may find the prospect of going to the famous French endurance race on their accord a bit daunting, though, which is where the National Corvette Museum comes into play.

The NCM is currently organizing a group tour of Europe and the 24 Hours of Le Mans for this year’s edition of the race, which just so happens to be the Corvette C7.R’s last-ever appearance at Circuit de la Sarthe. The group tour, which is the fourth time the NCM has organized such a pilgrimage, allows Corvette Racing fans to attend Le Mans with a group of like-minded Chevrolet enthusiasts as they cheer the American team on in their quest to take the GTE Pro class win.

The tour will take participants through London and Paris on their way to Circuit de la Sarthe in Le Mans, with professional guides leading the way the entire time. Four nights will be spent in London followed by three in Paris. The group will then travel to Angers, France, where they will be staying for the duration of the race weekend.

The cost of the tour, $5,600 per person in groups of two and $6,600 per person if you go it alone, includes hotels, ground transportation, tour tickets, all breakfasts, some meals, admission to Le Mans and grandstand and corral tickets. The NCM says it has “a very limited number of openings,” and is urging interested Corvette fans to make plans early.

What’s not included in the price of the tour is airfare You will have to pay your own way to Europe and should plan on arriving at London Heathrow Airport and departing from Charles de Galle in Paris.

You can click here for more information on the NCM tour, which kicks off on Thursday, June 6th.

My friend and I went in 2007. We shipped our ‘Vettes over ahead of time, picked them up in Bremerhaven. We stayed with his grandmother for a bit, then went to Normandy with the Corvette club of Baden-Wurttenburg. From there, we drove to Le Mans and camped in the Corvette Corral.
Even got to take a lap of the track. Great trip!
