CorvetteBlogger has a video of the efforts of getting a 1991 ZR! that was flooded running again. Amazingly the door gasket seals held the salt water out of the interior. So, with selective disassembly, a few new parts, cleaning and a lot of flushing the car starts and sounds really good still for its 48,000 plus miles. Also, the original keys would help cut out a little detective work. I am not a tech person to transfer the video, but it does exhibits the good work of the GM door gasket seals as compared to other manufactures with poor door sealing.
I was hesitant about flooded cars but after this video to be able to select the project before may preserve a great classic car.
