  • The last C7 just sold at auction

    caranddriver

The last front-engined #Chevrolet C7 Corvette just sold for $2,700,000! The C7 that just crossed the auction block isn’t the actual car that the new owner will receive, as it hasn’t been built yet; the car at Barrett-Jackson is an identical Z06. All proceeds from the sale will go to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Hit the link in our bio for the full details!

It wasn't John Staluppi? He usually collects "the last of" cars.

John Staluppi was the other bidder and I thought he would get it.

If ever you looked at a C7 Corvette and thought to yourself "that car is too expensive" then wait until you see how much this buyer purchased one for!

Yes, but it was for charity: The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation honors the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001.

We also honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country.

They could as they are the last of their kind!

2019 VIN #1 went for I think 80K with the buyers premium thats only 88K, what a deal!!! I'm very surprised that car didn't sell for more.

This is also a great charity. Started by FF Steven Siller's father to help with expenses for FDNY families that lost loved ones on 9-11. Steven was a FF that lived in Brooklyn and ran through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel carrying his gear on 9-11. He later perished when the towers collapsed. A commemorative run happens every year in September in NYC where they close down the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to recreate this Tunnel to Towers Run. I did it twice and it's a great event. The charity was then expanded to Injured veterans and their families to either build a new house or pay off the mortgage. $2.7 million will do a lot of good.
