Chevrolet must have underestimated the demand for their GM Performance Parts Cold Air Intakes for Corvettes as we learned earlier this year they were completely sold out.
You can probably thank the ZR1 for that as many ZR1 buyers were adding the RVK option to their build orders. And why wouldn’t you when the $625 Cold Air Intake adds an additional 17 hp to the ZR1’s supercharged LT5 V8.
The good news is that as of today, they are now back in stock and you can order the RPO RVK Cold Air Intake on your 2019s or pick up one at the parts counter.
The GM Performance Cold Air Intake is an easy way to increase the performance of your Corvette, and they look great too with a see-thru window featuring Corvette Racing’s mascot Jake. The air intake utilizes a dry filter so there’s no maintenance required.
Corvette Z06 and ZR1 owners see the most benefit with the Cold Air Intake with an increase of 11 hp for the Z06 and 17 horsepower for the ZR1. The LT1 sees an increase in airflow but any horsepower gains are negligible.
The part number for the cold air intake is PN 81452141 and the cost is $625. You can order it through your GM parts counter or talk to your sales professional if you’re building a 2019 Corvette.
