Coming around again, another verse of the familiar song.

Since then, the C7 Corvette has managed to maintain its appeal and grandeur, especially in the most recent past thanks to the arrival of the 2019 Corvette ZR1 and various special editions.

Suffice to say it’s an absolute treat when you get to see one of these out and about or, better yet, drive one. And this yellow C7 Corvette Stingray Z51 one of our readers spotted in Colorado and sent to us (thanks Mike!) was even more spectacular than your “ordinary” yellow C7 Corvette.

The bright yellow finish – the Corvette Racing Yellow Tintcoat – is contrasted very nicely by the black accents on the headlights, mirror caps, rocker panels, tail lights, rear spoiler, as well as the front and rear Corvette logos and the Corvette script at the rear.

Then there’s the black-to-yellow gradient on the doors that works so nicely with the rest of the car. We’ve seen others make similar attempts in the past, but the end results were always a bit gaudy and not very clean. But on this beauty, the attention-grabbing color scheme works very well with the black exterior modifications.

And let’s not forget the horizontal bars behind the license plate holder. Even those are yellow, contrasting perfectly with the black rear valance.

And that brings us to the rear-window split reminiscent of the 1963 Vette. If you enjoy the look of this feature as much as we do, then you’re in luck – as there are a few aftermarket options like it. We found a trim piece offered by RPI Designs, and a “split window decal” available on CorvetteMods.com.

The piece de resistance is the black Stingray logo running longitudinally down the split of the rear window.

Luckily, the owner of this C7 removed the front license plate that is (unfortunately) mandated in Colorado. Perhaps someone needs to bring Texas’ proposition to do away with the heinous front plates to the Rocky Mountain area.

What are your thoughts on this modified C7 Corvette? Did you enjoy it as much as we did, or is it not quite your style? Talk to us in the comments section below.

So many things I don't like so I'll just leave it at that.

If there was something from the C2 that you might bring back, perhaps it would be the rotating hidden headlights. This just looks hokey,

Saw something similar on a C5 or C6 last year. It really just looked tacked on, not part of the body at all.

Seems like sequential taillights would fit in with this styling......?

Or at least LED lights flickering due to camera shutter speed not syncing
