Thanks CorvetteBlogger. For those considering which dealers will have reallly good C8 initial and even first year mid engine allocation, this is a very valuable thread.

No one doubts that for those wanting an early ME, going to the wrong dealer with limited allocation could be a significant or even a “time out” issue for those who smartly will not pay over sticker; the above list will be invaluable to help counteract this.

Secondly, as it also predicted, that when ordering a new gen Corvette, there will be constraints on specific options. In November, 2014, there were 11 constrained options. As we know, if there is only (hypothetical numbers), 30% nationwide availability for comp seats in the first couple of months of C8 orders going in, with GM rewarding its top selling dealers as it almost always does, the chances of one getting comp seats in an early submitted C8 order might be 10% at a small to medium sized dealer, but around 70% (maybe be 90+%) at a top forum dealer.

Not only our our top forum dealers the ones who will have top initial allocations (by definition), I can tell you that both Criswell and MacMulkin never charged over list, not even for first week orders nor for any special editions throughout the entire C7 process. We will get the same excellent treatment for C8 ordering.

For those new to Corvete purchasing, when a specific model is in greater demand than supply, as the ME will be initially for months, if not much longer, this thread will further help one to learn the GM ordering process.

If you have any questions about the ordering process after reading the attached link, as always, feel free to private message me. I literally helped over 200 forum members buy the initial 2014 Stingrays and the intital 2015 Z06’s when the dealers they were initially working with either played games with them (polite way of saying out-n-out lied to them), or got them allocations but requiring them to pay over MSRP.

My dealer changed ownership recently. While I was there for my C7 oil change two weeks ago, I verified with the new Sales Manager that they would not charge over MSRP for the C8 no matter what the demand. The bad news is while I was talking to him, the shop overfilled the oil by three quarts. That looks like a fluke and I'm giving them a pass for that mistake at this point.

Criswell would certainly be an option for me since I'm also located in Maryland.

Mike Furman at Criswell is an outstanding option!
