  • Something is up with GM

as a GM retiree I use the Dealer Sales Assistant app a lot to see my price within 500 miles of a zip code see what models a dealer has, 2017 models aren't on there anymore so I'm thinking the 2020 models are getting ready to be added they only have 3 model years on the app.....I’m thinking they did this last year when the ZR1 came out, if they aren’t going to reveal the C8 till April it’s kinda early to be deleting a whole model year for one car, Chevy, Cadillac, Buick, GMC 2017’s are gone on my app

Thank you 4U2ENV. That is very interesting information. Might it have something to do with this the below link, ie., the concept that the 2020 C7’s are going to be refreshed, for they do have brand new model codes.

Thanks for teaching us that that app only have room for three model years. I just went into the www.GMfleetorderguide.com site and they still have 2017 info there. As you know however, often when GM starts to make changes for upcoming product, it is not uniform within their various computer sites (both public and internal ones), that the same changes are not entered into each one at the same time. They offen make those changes during the weekends, and often in a stutter-step manner.

Could well be that somethings are now percolating, and that we will not learn the full skinny for a while???

on the app, when you find the vehicle you want to look at, it shows you the dealer invoice, shows MSRP, Employee discount, and supplier discount, all codes, and prices

I looked on the GM Family First site, that is where I apply for my voucher to give to the dealer for my purchase, on there the 2017's vehicle is still there. It will be next, I guess mobile apps are easier to change than a website after the ZR1 was revealed that is where I get the Pricing sheets.

well I wrote to someone at GM about the app only showing 2 model years this is what he said:

            Hi David,

DSA usually only shows Current Model Year, Currently Model Year – 1, and Current Model Year + 1. As of now, because we have no 2020 models, we are only showing 2018 and 2019. You will most likely start seeing 2020 models sometime late Q1, early Q2

I only know of one 2020 model coming out the mid-engine Corvette, late Q1, early Q2 is promising
