  • ‘17 C7 Z06 tire life? New tires and install cost?

Hey guys, I could use some advice on the car and where to take it from here. I’d also like to know the best place to take the car, we actually got a nail in it and as these are run flat tires we drove it to a local discount tires and they actually took care of us for free.

The tires for this car are standard Michelin Pilot Sport tires front: P285/30ZR19 and rear P335/25ZR20.

A quick search yielded roughly $400 per front tire and $517 each for a rear tire for a grand total of $1,832 with free shipping from tirerack.com. Are there any better options on getting these tires for cheaper?

The car has almost 9,000 mile on it. My dad wants to know the tire life expectancy and what he can expect to pay for new tires and install on his C7Z 2LZ.

I’ve seen others saying the tires last 15-18k miles depending on how you drive, is this accurate?

What should be expected in terms of cost for installing a new set and where should this be done? I’ve heard people taking it and to people who don’t know what they’re doing and scratching the rims all up. Thanks!

Chevy dealers often tire match price from time to time with ture rack or discount tire direct.
over the years ive found they offer solid pricing,

here is a link to the tire rack options. I hope this is helpful.

also search craigslist in your area in the auto parts tire section. I often find low mileage tires for very little there. Sometimes it comes in handy...

i dont have a c7 z06 so it might be tougher to find your dads car size but i did a quick search locally to me and found a few. Of course always buyer beware there can be scams...

    good luck

I used my dealer. Price was better than tire rack with mounting and balancing.
Got about 15000 miles out of the original set but they had gotten out of alignment so I think another 2-3 thousand would have been possible.
There is a madness to my method!

I got exactly 15,000 miles on my 2015 Z06 tires. If you are wanting to talk with the # 1 Corvette tire specialist in the county IMO, a person I have bought from him several times (as have my friends), I suggest you call Luke Pavlick at TireRack. If so, please mention my name and this forum’s name. Luke is at: (800) 428-8355; ext. 4362
