Thanks to CorvetteBlogger, we have learned that Elkhart Lake Blue Metallic is heading down the BGA Assembly line (or is at least scheduled to start today) In fact a friend, a member of this forum, has his 2019 GS in ELB with a TPW of next Monday.
So why did I choose to post it in the ME section? Because its chances of remaining a 2020 color are, IMO, in the 95%, maybe in the 99% range. GM does not bring out a Corvette color in the middle of a production year, then end it roughly six months later. And secondly, as the color so closely mirrors the beautiful Laguna BLue Tintcoat, which GM caught a lot of flack for by ending it when it was still an extremely popular color, and as ELB has two nice advantages over Laguna Blue, I personally think it is a “sho in” as a 2020 continuation color. The two compounding reasons are that ELB is a metallic color, and secondly, unlike Laguna Blue which was a tintcoat and thus had a $995 upcharge, ELB is a no cost, non tintcoat color.
