C8 Section Re-Organization, With Our New “Mid Engine Exterior/Interior Pictures, Videos and Renderings” Section

MECF members asked for our segregating pictures, renderings and videos into one area; looking ahead, that section will become our most viewed area once you get your C8’s. Pre-existing threads that fit are now being moved. Thank you for the suggestion!

  • Great C3 Experience (video)

I had the pleasuree of corresponding with Keeks McKikan, who posts under “keeks2915,” just before the C7’s reveal and actually during the reveal event itself. He just posted this story. I know you will enjoy it. His post also relates to those who are fearful of the GM messing up the C8.

    The video speaks for itself.

I can’t believe how talented the render artists are and the sheer hours they have invested.

Those who know who I am and my history know I can be trusted. The C8 will be a hit and will be the game changer GM wants it to be.

My cousin is in the Corvette Hall of Fame, Clare MacKichan, who was the Head of the Chevy Design Studio and designed the first 10 years of the Corvette 53-63, the Nomad and the Opel. He and Zora both pined for a ME.

I think the negativity is not warranted or needed. Corvette has never let us down since the first sketches Clare did before the motorama and what is about to be revealed.

I have (had) a collection of every generation of the Corvette and love them all and their quirks. When the Mid engine lands in my garage it will be there with its sisters.

When you start feeling negative thoughts about what is coming watch this attached video which sums up what it means to be a Corvette Guy or Girl. Like the guy in the video my gutless first love of a 75 vette had to go because of my young family.

I know this video has nothing to do with the C8 but it does have to do with what the brand means to so many of us and how we can be assured Chevy also takes it the same way.

If you are truly a Corvette Guy or Girl you will love this new baby..
Thank you keeks2915 for posting/sharing this uplifting family’s C3 experience.

Thanks also to Shrike6 for “the assist.”

So many questions about the ME right now, but the answers are nicely, though slowly, coming out.

Excited owners of a 2015 Z06. Lifetime, annual contributors, and 20 year members of NCM. Our 2020 ME C8 Corvette is next.

This is a very reassuring read. If Keek's predicton of the C8 being a knockout 'game changer' comes true, GM deserves not only an automotive design award it but also an award for the best diversionary camo ever seen a on a pre-production mule.

How Special was that video? That was awesome. Only downside is I'm sure he will never trade it towards a ME, but that's so deserving.

I agree completely with Keeks, GM won’t let use down, when you consider all the personnel that are involved in the design and all the hot and cold weather testing it will be phenomenal. We are seeing nothing but mules, the final product will be great.

Being the original owner of a 73 Coupe, that video was certainly moving. I hope they fix that tailpipe though as it was almost dragging on the ground.

Very cool story, how nice of the family to find him a car similar to one he had so long ago. I've always liked 73s. It looks like it needs a couple of fixes, but easy to do. Was glad it still had its original air cleaner assembly, so many of those get tossed.
